Glazing with Acrylics

Intermediate I: Acrylic Glazing

LEARN TO ADD GLOWING COLOUR AND MAKE SUBTLE CHANGES

      TO YOUR ACRYLIC LANDSCAPE PAINTINGS.

Acrylic glazes are the secret ingredient that bring paintings to life. If you want your paintings to look more realistic then glazing is just the thing you need to add detail and subtle shifts in colour. Discover how acrylic glazing techniques can make your paintings glow with light and life. You will be shown how to use acrylic glazing medium to apply translucent layers of acrylic colour onto your canvas to create soft blends and subtle details to create semi-realistic paintings. You will be supplied with brushes, acrylic paint, glazing medium and a 11x14 canvas.

Beginner acrylic painting experience is beneficial. I also recommend taking this class prior to adding textural mediums to your work or taking Intermediate I.

Testimonial: "I thoroughly enjoyed the class, the times were just enough, and there was so much information

about glazing, and the products used. I am very happy with the final picture, and feel that there was real value

in learning so much about this part of painting. I am sure I will be back! " - Carolyn

Testimonial:    "I recently had the pleasure of taking my first course with Tammy --an intermediate landscape acrylic course. I previously had considerable experience with coloured pencils but very little with acrylic paint. The subject was challenging but achievable with Tammy’s concise and clear directions and interactive demonstrations. The class was a small group (3) so there was lots of opportunity for personal interaction. Tammy was always kind and responsive to my “beginner acrylic” questions and provided weekly pdfs of her canvas for us to use during our homework. I have no hesitation in recommending Tammy’s classes in any medium to others. I will certainly be taking more." - Louise R.
