You will learn the basics of acrylic painting, what types of acrylics are best, what to paint on and what brushes to use for the type of acrylic paintings you wish to create. You will be shown how to create a small abstract painting while seeing the many different ways that you can use acrylic paint whether it be for abstracts, landscapes or still life.
Many people start their painting exploration with acrylic because it is such an easy paint to use. But it is easy to get frustrated with the medium when you aren't sure how to use it. You will learn about the benefits of acrylic as well as it's limitations and what you can do about them.
While painting an abstract you will learn about the layering process that artists use.
Some colour mixing will also be discussed.
