LEARN WHAT IT TAKES TO CREATE INTRIGUING ABSTRACT PAINTINGS
Explore the many interesting effects you can achieve with acrylic paint combined with textural mediums while creating multiple layers of colour, texture and design to create intriguing abstract art.
What you will learn
This is a beginners course designed to give you the basics of learning to paint abstractly. Through guided exercises you will learn about line, colour, shape, layering, focal point, contrast, composition and design. You will learn the language of abstract art and discover what it takes to create a successful abstract painting. In addition to learning about abstract design you will learn 6 different ways to apply acrylic paint.
What you will create
You will create at least 8 small paintings using acrylic
and other mediums. You will work on different surfaces
including paper, canvas and board. Some surfaces will
be supplied for you. Some of the mediums you will learn
to use are acrylic paint, modelling paste, gel, gesso, cloth,
collaged images and stencils.
