An Introduction to Abstract

Even if you've never tried abstract painting this is the place to start. In this short class you will be shown how to achieve textural effects with acrylic paint and gesso while creating multiple layers of colour, interest and design. 

​

This workshop will show you the reason why acrylic paint is the most versatile medium. We will not only talk about the principals of design but also show you the many ways to paint with acrylic paint from thin to thick and the benefits of the paint's versatility.

We will demystify the reasons some Abstracts work and others don't work. We will answer the question...what makes a good abstract painting.

The first three prep videos were great for getting me started. Straight forward and easy to follow. Without them I wouldn’t have had a clue. The choices of painting surfaces explained was very very helpful.
