Acrylic
Beginner I
Learn the basics of acrylic painting on canvas while creating landscape paintings.
You will learn colour mixing, different forms of paint application including layering colour, glazing, composition, how to use light and shadow to create form and how to create texture with the brush to simulate the landscape.

Acrylic
Intermediate I , II & III
Learn about acrylic mediums
After you have a handle on Acrylic basics you might want to start to explore the world of Acrylic mediums. With so many to choose from I have put together 3 intermediate classes that build on each other. I recommend starting with Intermediate I: Acrylic Glazing which is using a translucent polymer medium to to change the opacity of acrylics. It is used in conjunction with the other mediums so it a great place to start.
In Intermediate II you will learn to add texture using an opaque modelling paste to enhance the illusion of rock textures, grass, waves, etc.
In Intermediate III you will learn to add gel medium which not only adds texture but also translucency. Great for water, clouds, trees, etc.

Watercolour
Beginner I & II
Learn the basics of watercolour painting while creating landscape and still life paintings.
Focus is more on how to use the different brushes to achieve the effects for landscapes such as painting clouds, grass, trees and water.
We will cover how to plan your watercolour from light to dark.
You will complete 3 landscape paintings.

Intro to Oil
All levels
This is an intro to oil painting using water-mixable oils
While they are much like regular oil paints the benefit is that there is no solvents used for washing out the brush.
You will learn colour mixing and all about the benefits of water-mixable oil paint. If you do not have paint it can be supplied for you. No experience required.
$60 ($80 supplies included)
